And to pour this writing, time and again, into portraits, essays or media projects that sparkle.
Portrait painting has always been a special mirror of its time. It experienced its heyday in the Italian early Renaissance through painters such as Piero della Francesca, Giovanni Bellini, or Botticelli.

What appeals to me about portraits is the verticality that opens up in each person – as an anchor in the world. And of course, the dialogue. The listening. The moment when people push open the door and enter the narrative space. Whether it’s artists like Franz WELSER-MÖST, start-up pioneers like Christian KAAR (runtastic), museum-makers like Klaus-Albrecht SCHRÖDER (Albertina), world-improvers like Monica CULEN (Rote Nasen), business people like Siemens-Chef Wolfgang HESOUN, adventurers like Hans WALLINGER or boundary-crossers like Bartholomäus RESCH – and whether it’s as text or as film or both – when their eyes sparkle, my heart sparkles too.

Groundbreaking media projects like SUPERVISOR. MEDIUM FOR NETWORKED COMMUNICATION (in the 1990s in cooperation with Computerworld), the BUSINESS READY PLATFORM for Microsoft (in the 2000s), or the NEUE GANGART for the Tennengau region between 2013 and 2018. Most recently, an award-winning anniversary magazine for ZÜRCHER KANTONALBANK Austria (2021).
But also exhibition projects within fairMATCHING, such as the storytelling project VON WO ICH MICH SEHE – From Where I See Myself (2021), together with truely empathic Enrique Pasquali, or the narrative photo project HUES OF HOME – Shades of Arrival (2026), together with the wonderful photographer Siegrid Cain.

The shortest way to a good story is a conversation. Half an hour, no strings attached – tell me what it is about.
